Rainscreen Systems
LINEAR Systems
A rainscreen façade is a cladding applied either during primary construction or as an over cladding to an existing structure. Rainscreen cladding consists of an outer weather resistant decorative skin fixed to an underlying structure by means of a supporting grid, which maintains a ventilated and drained cavity between the façade and the structure.
Rainscreen façades are not normally sealed and a ventilation cavity of at least 25mm is
allowed immediately behind the cladding panel. Water resistant thermal insulation can be positioned within the cavity.
Ventilation openings at the top of each clad area allow for evaporation of moisture vapour and at the bottom for ventilation and drainage. A ventilated rainscreen incorporating insulation will allow the building fabric to breathe without the risk of interstitial condensation or structural decay. External wall insulation used in this way is superior in performance since it eliminates the condensation risks associated with internal or cavity wall insulation.
This is particularly important for refurbishment schemes. In new construction the use of back ventilated rainscreen cladding provides the designer with the opportunity to use economical single skin load bearing blockwork for infill walls. The need for complicated damp proof membrane detailing is eliminated and there will be less risk of cold bridging.
The wide range of materials, finishes, colours and patterns that can be achieved with Euroclad LINEAR Façades means that the designer has the freedom and confidence to realise inspiring building designs. The nature of the composite materials used in Euroclad’s rainscreen cladding gives extra rigidity, perfect flatness and excellent colour uniformity. LINEAR Façades can be applied to new or refurbished buildings. They can be used to clad huge areas of large buildings or tailored to add character and interest to specific projects. A range of systems are available from Euroclad for diverse applications:
1 LINEAR Façade ventilated rainscreen
2 Unitised panels
3 Soffits
4 Column casing
5 Fascias and roof details
6 Interior applications.
Euroclad Façades can help the designer achieve grand designs or add that special finishing touch.
LINEAR 1 - PRESSURE EQUALISING RAINSCREEN FAÇADE SYSTEM
The LINEAR 1 system offers quick and convenient installation. The system is made up of a series of panels that are hung from a support frame. All panels can be independently removed and replaced without disrupting the rest of the façade so if an individual panel is damaged during the build, or even years after, that solitary panel can easily be replaced.
The engineered support system is supplied along with the façade panels and precise calculations can be supplied to ensure optimum installation. A major advantage of the system is that even with a less than perfect installation of the support grid the final installation will look flawless due to the adjustable nature of the panels. Standard panels can be supplied in any module size up to 1475mm x 6000mm. Long panels will self curve down to 15m radii. The vertical and horizontal joints of LINEAR 1 are fixed at 20mm.

LINEAR 3 - RAINSCREEN CASSETTE PANEL SYSTEM
The LINEAR 3 system offers the ultimate in design flexibility. The system is made up of a series of cassette panels that are each positively fixed to the vertical support rails. Installation is straight forward and the system can be installed with joint sizes of 15mm or 20mm in wet and dry jointed variations.
The engineered support system is supplied along with the façade panels and precise calculations can be supplied to ensure optimum installation.
LINEAR 3 panels can be supplied in any module size up to 1475mm x 6000mm. Panels can be curved down to 100mm internal radii in plan or elevation, raked, tapered or manufactured in combinations of the above.

LINEAR 5 PRESSURE EQUALISING RAINSCREEN FAÇADE SYSTEM
The LINEAR 5 system is a high quality, economic rainscreen solution that offers quick and convenient installation. The system is vertically sequential and features panels that are interchangeable with LINEAR 1.
