ROCKWOOL - Rockpanel®
Rockpanel cladding is suitable for both new construction and renovation for many applications, such as facades and rooflines. Cladding is available in two types, each of which can be manufactured in various designs and in any desired RAL/NCS colour. In combination with the Rockpanel Accessories, Rockpanel provides the Total Solution for any design challenge.
ROCKPANEL and DESIGN FREEDOM
With a wide range of colours, board dimensions and finishes there is a Rockpanel board which can enhance every building application. Rockpanel boards are dimensionally stable and therefore the stability of the board does not need to be considered in the design. They are vapour permeable, reducing condensation risk and allowing cavities to be fully insulated to maximise energy savings. Rockpanel panels are flexible and can be curved. Within the Rockpanel range there are boards suitable for ground level application available with the option of an ProtectPlus finish. This finish makes the Rockpanel board extra uv-protected and selfcleaning and paint or marker pen can easily be removed using the Rockpanel Graffiti Cleaner. If required, Rockpanel boards can be supplied pre–cut to the building site.
ROCKPANEL and SAFETY
Rockpanel products are supplied with a guarantee against rotting and delamination. Rockpanel boards are manufactured from high quality stone wool and are naturally fire safe with no possibility of flashover, droplet formation and the minimum of smoke development. Rockpanel remains dimensionally stable in all climatic conditions and is unaffected by extreme temperature changes or high humidity and remains waterrepellent and low maintenance.The natural physical properties of the Rockpanel boards contribute to its durability. Dimensionally stable and vapour permeable, the board exerts no movement stresses on the colour fast coatings and allows vapour from the construction to ventilate through the board coatings resulting in a durable low maintenance panel. Rockpanel panels are manufactured according to the ISO 9001 and environmental care system according to ISO 14001 and are classed as inactive in the UK Government Waste Classification Category. Rockpanel can be returned to our factories for recycling into new Rockpanel products giving a true environmental circle.
ROCKPANEL and EASE OF USE
Rockpanel products are light-weight, easy to handle and as easy to cut and drill as wood and can be fixed on site by existing carpentry trades. The cut edges require no further treatment and quickly colour with sunlight to create a dark brown shadow line. When fixed to timber or steel, Rockpanel can be quickly fixed without pre-drilling with screws, nails or adhesive. The board finish is multi directional (except for Rockpanel Structure), which means that the panels can be turned in any direction in relation to each other and the finish will still match. The boards can easily be cut on site or supplied pre-cut to size.
